Big Sky Lodges

Big Sky Lodges operate three of the most popular small properties in Namibia. Erongo Wilderness Lodge offers an introduction to the volcanic beauty of the Erongo Mountains, outstanding birding, Bushman rock art and an ideal walking habitat. This is a very different experience to that offered at most Namibian Lodges.

Etendeka Mountain Camp is an award winning eco property in the heart of the beautifully rugged Damaraland. The private concession is home to numerous species of game including black rhino, desert elephant, lion, cheetah and mountain zebra. The Camp epitomises a slow paced wilderness experience, days spent walking and on gamedrives, the evenings around the campfire.

Okonjima - Home of The Africat Foundation

West of the Waterberg Plateau, the vast plains are occasionally broken by the remnants of ancient Sandstone outcrops, which once covered large areas of northern Namibia. Nestled among the Omboroko Mountains lies Okonjima, home of The Africat Foundation. AfriCat is a unique non-profit organisation whose goal is the long-term conservation of Namibia's large carnivores. Guests at Okonjima are able to observe the fascinating work undertaken with cheetah and leopard whilst learning about the broader issues of predator conservation.

The primary activities include tracking leopard from a gamedrive vehicle and the experience of tracking large carnivores on foot with a guide. Photographic opportunities are plentiful and the experience of watching big cats in close proximity is one that few people ever forget. There are also opportunities to experience an interpretive Bushman trail and to simply relax in the peaceful surroundings of Okonjima's five unique properties.

The Mushara Collection

Marc and Mariza Pampe's home is an oasis of hospitality on the edge of the Etosha National Park, Namibia's leading big game destination.
